I recently passed the six year mark since taking over the Health section of FLORIDA TODAY.
When I took over in 2015, I wrote a popular parenting column called “Daddy Duty,” and inherited a small group of local health professionals who contributed columns on a variety of topics. health for the section.
Since then, I have been able to grow this small group into a network of columnists offering expertise on mental health, skin health, eye health, fitness, nutrition, senior health, pediatrics and more.
At this time of year when we are grateful for so much, I wanted to share my appreciation for these healthcare professionals who share their time and talent to educate Brevard County on the most important healthcare topics through FLORIDA TODAY and floridatoday.com.
Additionally, many of our Gannett news sites across the country collect their stories and post them on their websites.
It’s not uncommon for one of our healthcare professionals to email me to let me know that someone from Nevada, New Jersey, Ohio and other places has contacted them. .
Here is a list of our columnists whom I would like to publicly thank for their contributions to the work over the past year. If I forget anyone (and I hope I haven’t), I sincerely apologize.
